Legacy media bores us with faked photos
A friend offers me this link to what he thinks must be a faked photo. It looks that way to me too because one gets no sense that the person being hauled away has suffered a traumatic injury. At first, I was a little surprised that NPR ran with it.
But legacy media are desperate. Their aging audience is prepared to believe anything that confirms their certainties.
While we are here, I had been meaning to run with this for some time: If you want to know what real persecution is like, look at this article about the Falun Gong.
ALSO: There are real horrors happening in Gaza. Look at this one (Warning: disturbing)
My friend, Mustafa Akyol also points me to Jeremy Ben-Ami's statement here.
And if you want to know what I think of legacy media, go here.
